Welcome to Ye Olde Red Cow Inn

Ye Olde Red Cow Inn stands as a true testament to the charm of a traditional English pub. Nestled in the heart of Slough at 140 Albert Street, this historic venue offers a genuine, unpretentious experience that resonates deeply with locals and visitors alike. Far from the generic chain pubs, it embraces authenticity—no trendy slogans, no unnecessary frills, just the honest atmosphere of a place that has earned its place in the community.

Patrons like Jack Boniface appreciate the solid local crowd that breathes life into the inn, creating an engaging ambiance that feels both welcoming and genuine. The pub’s commitment to quality shows through its well-poured Guinness, praised by regulars such as Jana Miskarova who highlights the care taken in maintaining the beer's taste and cleanliness. This attention to detail elevates the drinking experience beyond the ordinary.

The Ye Olde Red Cow Inn also offers something beyond just a good pint. Its traditional English roots shine through, from the friendly staff greeted by Angela Cooper, to the inviting garden area providing a peaceful retreat from the bustle of Slough High Street. The pub’s reputation for hearty, home-cooked Sunday lunches, lauded by Tim Grover, underscores its dedication to great value and wholesome fare, making it a beloved spot for family gatherings or casual outings.

Moreover, this pub holds a subtle historical allure. As Chris Roberts notes, keen enthusiasts might recognize the inn’s exterior from the iconic opening of the classic TV series "The Professionals," adding an extra layer of cultural significance to its well-worn walls.

Ye Olde Red Cow Inn exudes a cozy, timeless atmosphere where visitors feel embraced by tradition and genuine hospitality. The combination of carefully maintained amenities, from private parking to clean facilities, and a robust connection to its local heritage, makes it a memorable destination for those seeking an authentic English pub experience. It’s a gem that invites patrons not only to drink but to belong.

This is a pub. Exactly how it should be. Not a weatherspoons knock off , no "life, love, laugh" in sight. It's not frilly or trying to be gastro. It has what appears to be a strong local crowd which adds a good atmosphere . Had a Guinness, was unfortunately the cold version one but decent. Will go again.

Great little traditional English historical pub, which is walking distance from Slough High Street. Staff were very friendly. Has a nice little garden area. Was very quiet when I visited on a Sunday afternoon for a pint in the sun.

Who would have thought...in Slough !! 5 of us had a Sunday lunch this week, home cooked, there was plenty of it and absolutely delicious, certainly will be doing it again. Could not believe what great value for money it was. Well done !!

Nice pub, private parking. Kind staff, happy to serve you with a smile. Toilets are nicely clean . I was impressed and Guinness was truly good, I've been in few pubs where the beer tastes awful due not cleaned pipes etc . I am highly recommending. Thank you
